It brings together ten amazing artists from the hillingdonartists, all masters in their individual styles in an explosion of colours! The art works are firmly anchored in the present and addresses issues in a contemporary and individual manner. There is a questioning attitude and readiness to use whatever will achieve the desired result, both in materials and methods. Painting, photography, print, both traditional and digital, as well as reliefs and freestanding objects are used in these works. Subject matter ranges widely, but always taps into contemporary life and, in particular, reflects each artist’s concerns and personal views:

Patricia paints in vibrant colours, she transforms the inner workings of her mind into a new creation, distorting and finding new ways of expressing herself in various subjects.

Nisha’s Indian background and heritage have influenced her work and incorporates this into her textile design done in contemporary style.

Margaret’s keen interest in painting and love of nature has inspired her to explore the use of watercolour, acrylic and pastels which is reflected in her amazing paintings.

Ian’s works tend to be surreal and with a touch of humour. Much has a figurative and expressive reference. Paper is a material with so many possibilities not only as a surface but also as a sculptural material

Yvonne’s works explores issues surrounding personal freedom and space. Using materials that can be manipulated to create textural surfaces that give the work a dynamic quality

Brenda’s works are involved with painting flowers and related subjects from the natural world in water colour, pen and wash and occasionally gouache, her paintings are mainly botanical, infused with a painterly style and a flowing line.

Rebecca Simmonds, has been painting in her spare time for most of her life. She came to live in Hayes about 4 years ago and fell in love with the place. Her paintings all depict Hayes and surrounding areas

Lisa Enright’s works mainly consists of drawing and painting animals and plants. She paints with acrylics and likes portraying them in vivid colours, also paints on tiles using acrylic enamels.

Graham Pellow has had a passion for painting since childhood, and his enthusiasm has grown since then. Graham is am a member of the Eastcote Art Society in Hillingdon and works in all mediums; water colour, pastel, oil and acrylic.
