Jessica Perry is a very experienced freelance artist inspiring children and adults of all ages and abilities to expand their creativity and to enjoy a range of artistic, personal and collaborative skills, providing schools, community groups, art galleries and museums with bespoke projects to any given theme, art curriculum enrichment, PPA cover & Inset sessions.
Her tailor-made art classes in school, supporting all areas of the curriculum, use different mediums and techniques to help achieve learning objectives and encourage individual and team development throughout Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, including complex needs.
Jessica also runs a weekly art workshop with vulnerable adults in a supported living setting ( which develops skills and confidence in printing, painting, plaster casting and decorative craft ideas

Schools select from a one-off workshop, a day of art activities or a series of regular themed classes over a term or year. Community projects are often linked to a local festival or or annual special event, designed to bring different sectors a community together
Devising enjoyable, hands-on workshops as family learning sessions in schools and at public events, Jessica's experience spreads over 30 years, with recycled plastics and textiles, natural materials, clay and plaster-casting, drawing and painting forming the core of her practice.

Jessica completed three Creative Partnership projects in Norfolk (at Harford Manor Special School, Norwich, Brundall Primary and Burnham Market Primary) where valuable and exciting art projects were embedded in the curriculum, bringing together practical ideas for children and staff, combining art, literacy, drama and outdoor learning.
Jessica is one of the core artists in Norfolk County Councils 2012 Artists for Climate Change scheme, offering a unique package of visual and imaginative learning on the theme of Slow Food and Food Miles (see the Climate change page of this website)

Outdoor projects include pizza ovens, campfire cooking, sculpture trails and site-specific land art.

Jessica runs workshops within museums and at public events, (such as the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich) linking projects to a given theme or set of artefacts.
“Jess has inspired children and staff with her amazing art ideas, many of
these make great use of recycled materials. Her outside works, especially 3D
sculptures, have added a new dimension to our art work.”
Fiona Chant – Head teacher at John of Gaunt Infant and Nursery School

Steven Hales ~ Head teacher, Burnham Market Primary School

"Jess has worked with families to create inspirational and dynamic pieces of
work, communicating with all generations in an inspiring manner."
Monica Harding, Aylsham Cluster Family Learning Co-ordinator

“The children and the staff have all got so much from your visit to our
school. It was refreshing to give our more talented pupils an extended
art activity. Teachers are already planning art activities using similar resources and ideas to the ones you introduced. As well as this, many of the children have been inspired to try these techniques at home.”
Amanda Blezard – Arden Grove Infant & Nursery School
