About me

I'm a photographic/ mixed-media artist and (sometimes) a writer. And I teach fine art photography at Cardiff School of Art and Design, Wales, UK.

I've exhibited my work at various national institutions, including Tate St Ives, and it's appeared and been reviewed in a few national publications. As a writer, I've published books and articles on art and photography. In recent years I've been awarded a British Academy Research Grant, and a Fellowship of the Société Kandinsky. And less recently I've featured a few times on national radio, appeared among the pages of Esquire magazine, and an excerpt of my writing appeared in Private Eye's 'Pseuds Corner'.
