Unlike many other mail order nurseries, all of our ferns are posted in their containers.
This ensures the ferns reach you in great condition as the root systems are well protected (many ferns dislike root disturbance). It also means they can be purchased and planted at anytime of the year when the ground conditions are suitable (not waterlogged or frozen).
Plants are usually sent out each Wednesday. Any orders received after Tuesday afternoon will normally be sent the following week. Hot weather may also delay delivery.
Postage is automatically calculated in the basket as you shop and is based on the weight of the plants.
We do not supply tracking information automatically. This is to comply with GDPR, as the email address would be transferred to another entity without your consent. If you do want tracking then please either notify at time of order by writing this into the address at checkout, or by asking us after ordering. Customers usually ask once they receive their dispatch confirmation.

-Postage starts from £5.95 and is calculated by weight. There is a maximum charge of £6.95 delivery and postage is free on orders over £90.
Delivery is usually three to five working days.As all plants are individually and carefully wrapped this may take longer in busier times as a better wrapped package takes longer to do than a rushed one so do allow 14 days for delivery! You will be notified when the plants have dispatched. If you would like the tracking number please let me know.

Due to inconsistent service by various national postal services all orders will now be sent by GLS or TNT couriers who we have found to be excellent. There is now a fixed charge for each nation offering much better value for money for larger orders than previously.
Plant pot sizes are generally 9cm round pots. Depending on availability (much depends on their growth rates which varies from species to species) we may also send out P9's (9cm square pots). Ferns in the collections are also generally in 9cm rounds though I do like to use the P9's if available, except for living wall collections.
NEW! Due to popular demand we have a small number of houseplants in 1 litre pots (850ml-1000ml) where stated. These are 12cm diameter pots with full growth for instant effect.
Plugs are occasionally offered and must be potted on and not planted straight into the garden. The exception would be for stone, or living, walls. Great care would be needed to keep them irrigated as their small size makes them prone to dehydration.
